Black Tie Wedding…What to Wear???

One of my best friends got married this weekend. The weeks leading up the wedding my friends were all asking me what is the right dress to wear to this wedding.

The first question is what do you wear to a black tie optional wedding vs black tie?

For a black tie only woman can wear a floor length dress or  a dressy cocktail dress. For a black tie optional woman can wear a floor length dress, a dressy cocktail dress or an evening suit.

For black tie men need to wear a tuxedo. For black tie optional  men can wear a tuxedo or a dark colored suite.
